I have been making these rare hard to find solid cedar frames for many years now and many have been purchased for display in homes, restaurants, nature centers and art displays throughout the country due to the natural rustic simplistic look of the frames that do not take away from the item being mounted..
Item is made of 100% solid cedar with a light oak finish.
Frame listed has a custom gold letterd 6x12" sign mounted with the lettering "IOWA" and has a total frame size of 8 1/2" x 14 1/2". I have created this lettering on a black matboard with appr 3" lettering as shown in pictures.
The cedar flat Shaker style front of frame is 1 1/2" wide and 3/4" thick.

Frame has thick 1/8" plexiglas with acid free foamboard backing secured with metal easy removable and reusable points. All hardware for hanging is included with purchase.
Frame has a light oak finish with no sealers added to bring out the natural characteristics of the solid cedar used in construction of frame. No two cedar frames are identical in texture due to the natural characteristics of the solid cedar used. The solid cedar wood can have up to 4 different shades when staining is applied. All the natural imperfections of the wood is left in to add to the rustic appearance of the cedar. No clear sealer or varnish is added to frame so the cedar can naturally breathe freely.
