I have been making these rare hard to find solid cedar frames for many years now and many have been purchased for display in homes, restaurants, nature centers and art displays throughout the country due to the natural rustic simplistic look of the frames that do not take away from the item being mounted..
Item is made of 100% solid cedar with a dark ebony finish.
Frame listed has a custom framed rare collectible appr 9x12" large original FatHead Decal Team helmet (New York Jets) mounted and has a total frame size of 11x13". Deep profile frame is 1.5" thick with 3/4" front. Deep profile frame enables you to either display on shelves or hang on walls.
The cedar flat Shaker style front of frame is 3/4" wide and 1.5" thick.
Frame has thick 1/8" UV stabilized Acrylic with an acid free foamboard backing.
Frame has a dark ebony stained finish with no sealers added to bring out the natural characteristics of the solid cedar used. No two cedar frames are identical in texture due to the natural characteristics of the solid cedar used. The solid cedar wood can have up to 4 different shades when staining is applied. All the natural imperfections of the wood is left in to add to the rustic appearance of the cedar.
