I have been making these rare hard to find solid cedar frames for many years now and many have been purchased for display in homes, restaurants, nature centers and art displays throughout the country due to the natural rustic simplistic look of the frames that do not take away from the item being mounted..
Item is made of 100% solid cedar with a dark ebony finish.
Deep profile frame listed has a custom framed complete original Philadelphia Weekly newspaper (TOP DOGS) dated February 7, 2018, mounted and has a total frame size of 12 x 12". Deep profile frame is 1.5" thick with 3/4" front. Deep profile frame enables you to either display on shelves, desks or hang on walls with easy hanging - position and level on wall, draw a pencil line at top of frame on wall, add 2 nails and hang. .
The cedar flat Shaker style front of frame is 3/4" wide and 1.5" thick.
Frame has thick 1/8" UV stabilized plexiglas with an acid free foamboard backing.
Frame has a dark ebony finish with no sealers added to bring out the natural characteristics of the solid cedar used. No two cedar frames are identical in texture due to the natural characteristics of the solid cedar used. The solid cedar wood can have up to 4 different shades when staining is applied. All the natural imperfections of the wood is left in to add to the rustic appearance of the cedar. Please note that newspapers are original complete issues and are not perfect as photo copies or reproductions would be. All original newspapers can have press folds and some color variations due to printing presses used but will have no rips or tears in mounted papers.
